La Ronge hosted a Family Wellness Conference this week with numerous guest speakers and activities focused on mental wellness, cultural connection, and healing. Cameco was happy to support the community gathering with a steak dinner, which was organized and cooked in partnership with Kitsaki Management Limited Partnership. Thanks to Chief Tammy Cook-Searson and the La Ronge community for the warm welcome, conversations with community members and opportunity to practice jigging!

Kayelyn Rasmussen, of Green Lake, recently finished a heavy-duty mechanic course with the support of Cameco’s Northern Saskatchewan Scholarship. "It really helped me financially because I had to drive half an hour, it really helped with gas. And if I needed new work boots or coveralls or anything like that, it really helped me too,” she says.
