Kayelyn Rasmussen, of Green Lake, recently finished a heavy-duty mechanic course with the support of Cameco’s Northern Saskatchewan Scholarship. "It really helped me financially because I had to drive half an hour, it really helped with gas. And if I needed new work boots or coveralls or anything like that, it really helped me too,” she says. Tim Gitzel, Cameco's CEO, was pleased to be a part of panel discussions at the Canadian National Nuclear Energy Management School (NEMS) on Monday at USask in Saskatoon. This is the first time the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s globally respected program, which runs until June 6th, has been hosted in Canada outside of Ontario. The intensive series of courses, designed for mid-level professionals, welcomed 50 students from across Canada.
