A big thank-you to everyone from Pinehouse and Lac La Ronge Indian Band who joined us for our annual community tour stops last month. We appreciate the opportunity to share updates on our 2024 Collaboration Agreement progress reports and our northern operations, and to respond to questions from leadership and community members. The general managers from Key Lake and McArthur River, human resources representatives, and our Corporate and Community Relations team enjoyed sharing a meal and connecting with community members.

At the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Nuclear Energy in Vienna, Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel provided a scene setting keynote that shared Cameco's perspective on the global nuclear industry and on both the challenges and opportunities AI provides for our operations and for the growth of nuclear generation. #NuclearAI

Last week, Cameco hosted four leaders from northern Saskatchewan at our Fuel Services Division in Port Hope, Ontario. Black Lake Denesuline First Nation Chief Coreen Sayazie, Fond du Lac Denesuline First Nation Chief Ronnie Augier, Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation Chief Bart Tsannie and Pinehouse Mayor Mike Natomagan joined staff from Cameco's Corporate and Community Relations team on a tour of Port Hope Conversion Facility and Cameco Fuel Manufacturing.

On Thursday at the National Energy Roundtable, Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel spoke on a panel with the three leaders of Canada's nuclear utilities - OPG President and CEO Nicolle Butcher, Bruce Power President and CEO Eric Chassard, and NB Power President and CEO Lori Clark. Tim shared that nuclear is and always has been a global business for which Canada has a strategic and competitive advantage.

From its discovery in 1968 to its legacy as North America’s longest-operating uranium facility, Cameco's Rabbit Lake’s story is one of resilience, teamwork and a few legendary safety awards along the way. Rabbit Lake uranium deposit was discovered in 1968. The site began production in 1975. “Fifty years is a remarkable milestone, and it’s all thanks to the many people who have made Rabbit Lake what it is,” said CEO Tim Gitzel. “Your dedication, innovation and teamwork have not only powered our operations, but have helped set the standard for safety and community spirit at Cameco."
