Who are Our Stakeholders?

Stakeholders are individuals and groups who have a personal, professional or statutory investment in Cameco.

We define a person, group or entity as a stakeholder if:

  • they are affected by us
  • we are affected by them
  • we are legally, financially or operationally obligated to them

We currently recognize eight core groups of stakeholders:

  • local communities – indigenous
  • local communities – non-indigenous
  • regulators
  • customers
  • employees
  • government
  • investors
  • media

To read more about how we engage stakeholders, please see the stakeholder engagement section of this report.
