What an incredible journey through northern Saskatchewan! Cameco was proud to partner with Athabasca Basin Development to support the Jordin Tootoo Athabasca Tour last week, with stops in Black Lake/Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, Wollaston Lake/Hatchet Lake and Uranium City. Through his story, Jordin encouraged youth to believe in themselves, draw strength from their communities and cultures and meet life’s challenges with resilience, leadership and perseverance. Thank you to Jordin and to Athabasca Basin Development, Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority, Northern Lights School Division, Rise Air, local schools, leaders, volunteers and community partners for helping make this special tour possible. And to each community that welcomed the tour, thank you for your kindness, generosity and warm northern hospitality. We loved the opportunity to help bring Jordin’s inspiring message to the North.
