Today, Cameco hosted the provincial government’s release of the Saskatchewan First Energy Security Strategy and Supply Plan. Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel joined Crown Investments Corporation Minister Jeremy Harrison, Saskatchewan First Nations Natural Resource Centre of Excellence President and CEO Sheldon Wuttunee, and CIC President and CEO Kent Campbell in celebrating the plan’s release. Cameco is pleased to see the provincial government’s ongoing commitment to introducing nuclear energy in Saskatchewan. The plan’s announcement comes as Saskatoon is set to host the inaugural CNA West Conference this week, for which Cameco is the presenting sponsor. The Canadian Nuclear Association is bringing the conference to Western Canada for the first time as the momentum for nuclear energy grows in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
