Is all of the uranium that Cameco produces in America used in America?
Cameco provides the full amount of our US production and much more to the United States to fuel nuclear power plants. US production from Cameco Resources and other domestic companies provides only about 10% of America's needs, and uranium from Cameco's Canadian mines makes up much of the difference.

Is any of the uranium used for nuclear weapons?No, it is used to generate clean electricity.

How long has Cameco owned the US mines?Cameco acquired the Highland mine in Wyoming in 1997, and in 2002 acquired the neighboring Smith Ranch mine, combining the two sites into one operation. Cameco acquired full ownership of the Crow Butte mine in Nebraska in 2000, after having previously owned an interest in the property.

Why did Cameco Resources move its US headquarters to Cheyenne, Wyoming?We relocated the headquarters from Lakewood, Colorado to Cheyenne in 2010 in order to be closer to and work more effectively with communities near our US operations and planned expansion areas, which are in Wyoming and western Nebraska.
