Cameco needs the trust and support of communities, indigenous people, governments and regulators. It's essential to our operations and we earn it by being a good corporate citizen.
We strive to proactively engage stakeholders in a variety of ways and respond to questions and concerns in a timely, transparent and culturally appropriate manner.
Our approach is evolving and growing along with our operations.
Cameco employees are actively engaged in giving back to their communities everywhere we operate.
Through annual United Way giving campaigns in Canada and the US, employees have been able to raise $4.2 million since 2004.
Other volunteer efforts include fundraising for libraries and hospitals, Future Farmers of America (FFA) community improvement challenges, organizing backpacks and school supplies for children in need, and building homes through Habitat for Humanity.
