Cameco updates CNSC on subsurface contamination (Dec 08)
On Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 Cameco provided an update on subsurface issues to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission at a public meeting held in Ajax. The presentation included information about the site's long industrial history, the status of subsurface issues at the UF6 and UO2 plants, a summary of the findings of the site-wide environmental investigation and the status of the site-wide environmental management plan.
A similar but abbreviated presentation was made to Port Hope municipal council on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.
