Employment

Cameco is committed to increasing benefits to northern residents from its mining operations. The company's hiring practices include giving preference to residents of northern Saskatchewan.

Cameco has a policy of purchasing goods and services from Saskatchewan, and in particular from northern Saskatchewan business, to the greatest extent possible.

Rabbit Lake Employment

There are over 270 people employed at Rabbit Lake, including on-site contractors - the majority of the workers are residents of northern Saskatchewan.

Work Schedule and Commuting

Rabbit Lake's mine and mill operations run 24 hours a day, 265 days a year. Employees work 11 hours per day on a seven-day-in/seven-day-out schedule.
