Port Hope, May 15, 2012
Approximately 65 people attended Cameco's community forum on May 7, which focused on the Vision 2010/Vision in Motion project. Andy Thorne, vice-president of Cameco's fuel services division, began the forum with an update on local operations, including a recap of the relicensing process, an update on the status of public opinion research underway in Port Hope and a reminder that ownership of the Port Granby Waste Management Facility had transferred to the Government of Canada, as part of the Port Hope Area Initiative. Aldo D'Agostino, project manager, then provided a comprehensive update on the history and status of the Vision 2010/Vision in Motion project.
