ATHABASCA BASIN
The Cree Extension-Millennium project is a Cameco-operated joint venture located in the southeastern portion of the Athabasca Basin, approximately 35 km north of the Key Lake operation. The project includes the Millennium deposit which was discovered in 2000. A study is under way to determine the feasibility of mining the deposit. The study is scheduled for completion in 2009.
Exploration Objectives
- Identify additional resources in the immediate Millennium deposit area
- Prioritization of basement and unconformity targets north of Millennium
- Drill testing of nearby prospective anomalies along several historically identified conductive trends
