Cameco employs almost 700 people in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Staff from a variety of departments - including business technology services; corporate social responsibility; environmental leadership; exploration; human resources; investor, corporate and government relations; marketing and legal - are housed at the main office on 11th Street West, the new operations building on Avenue W South, and the Bayside building on 2nd Avenue North in the city's downtown core.

Saskatoon was named in 2007 one of North America's top 10 small "cities of the future" by the Financial Times and offers many big city amenities such as a university, exceptional museums, theater groups, a symphony, art galleries and some of the best golf courses in Canada.

La Ronge is the largest community in northern Saskatchewan and acts as a service centre for most of the region. The town and surrounding communities are accessible by daily scheduled flights at the local airport. La Ronge boasts a broad range of amenities including a local hospital, an arena (home to the Ice Wolves hockey team), a nine-hole golf course, a curling rink and outfitters for the many outdoor activities the region offers.

Rabbit Lake Operation

Rabbit Lake is the longest-operating uranium production facility in Saskatchewan, beginning in 1975. The closest community is Wollaston Lake, about 40 kilometres by air. The Rabbit Lake underground mine and mill operation has over 300 employees and over 400 contractors. Like other Cameco operations in northern Saskatchewan, employees work on a seven-day-in, seven-day-out schedule and live on site during their shifts. Amenities on site include a curling rink, a weight/cardio exercise room, a gymnasium, a baseball diamond, an indoor archery range, a camp theater with library, and a recreation room with billiards/cards/musical instruments.

The Cigar Lake project is located about 660 kilometres north of Saskatoon. It will employ hundreds of people both during construction and once mining has begun. Employees work on a seven-day-in, seven-day-out schedule and live on site during their shifts. The amenities on site include a movie theater room with surround sound, a music club (equipment supplied), a full size gym (for basketball, volleyball, badminton, floor hockey and soccer) and a games room (with video games, pool tables, shuffle board, dart boards, and a ping pong table).

The McArthur River underground mine operation has over 400 employees and over 300 contractors and is located approximately 620 kilometres north of Saskatoon. Like other Cameco operations in northern Saskatchewan, employees work on a seven-day-in, seven-day-out schedule and live on site during their shifts. Amenities on site include a library, cable television and wireless internet access. There are plenty of recreational opportunities including a full gymnasium, racquetball, an exercise and weight room, biking, a baseball diamond and a curling rink complex. Musical instruments are also available for down time.

The Key Lake milling operation has over 400 employees and over 100 contractors and is located 570 kilometres north of Saskatoon by air on the southern rim of the uranium-rich Athabasca Basin. Employees work on a seven-day-in, seven-day-out schedule and live on site during their shifts. Amenities include television lounges, a computer room, wireless internet and a music room. Outdoor recreation facilities include two outdoor tennis courts, horseshoe pits, bolo golf, a golf course (sand pits), a baseball diamond, walking and biking trails (bikes available) and an outdoor beach volleyball court.

Approximately 340 people are employed by Cameco Fuel Services at the specialty metal fabrication plant in Cobourg and the Port Hope fuel manufacturing plant 10 kilometres away. Cobourg is the largest town in Northumberland County, approximately an hour’s drive from the Greater Toronto Area. The town was originally settled in 1798 and experienced an economic boom through the 1800’s. The downtown and surrounding residential area is designated as a Heritage Conservation District. The town offers many services and retail and commercial businesses. Cobourg is considered the economic hub of Northumberland Country. The famous waterfront has long been a popular tourist destination – for Canadians and Americans alike – and is the centre of an annual festival that takes place the first weekend in July.

Cameco's facility in Blind River is the world's largest commercial uranium refinery, employing about 160 people. It was named one of the Best Places to Work in Northern Ontario in October 2009. Blind River is located on the Trans-Canada Highway halfway between Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. The town was incorporated in 1906, already home to thriving fur-trading, logging and mining operations. Blind River provides many services to surrounding communities including a health centre, schools (French and English) and churches.

More than 400 people are employed at the Port Hope conversion facility including the Cameco innovation and technology development-research centre. Additionally, approximately 340 people are employed by Cameco Fuel Services at the Port Hope fuel manufacturing plant and the specialty metal fabrication plant in Cobourg 10 kilometres away. Port Hope is a growing community on the shores of Lake Ontario, about an hour east of Toronto. The town was incorporated in 1834 and maintains much of the charm of that time with one of the best preserved main streets in Ontario. Port Hope has a number of amenities including medical facilities, VIA rail train service and a daily newspaper.

Casper is located on the North Platte River on Interstate 25, at the foot of Casper Mountain.
